This should make all boat sailors who do a little barbecue very, very jealous. It does me. I wish I knew the proud owner but I got these in an email from an old shipmate, John Tregoning. And I want one soooo bad!

We have a BBQ team here in SoCal – Meat, Inc. We only do about 2 – 3 competitions per year. Best finish is 1st in Tri-Tip, 3rd in whole chicken, 5th in Ribs, 7th in pork and 6th overall – we also killed about 80 beers, two bottles of Capt Morgan, 2 bottles of vodka and 2 – 3 bottles of other booze. There is one submariner (me) and one auxilliary cook (SSN and SS Sailor) on the team with a couple of civilians.
I AM going to build a smoker like this. We currently all use Traegers but since I am the GM of a manufacturing plant with plenty of access to S.S., welding, and a full CNC Machine shop, this project is already in progress. I would like to get in contact of the owner of this smoker so I can save some engineering time. Please send me the contact info.
I’m going to guess that this person is a proud patriot from North Carolina since the state flag is in the background and the logo on the cone is the logo from SSN 777 (USS North Carolina).
